FIRST LEGO League Competition teams will meet weekly beginning in mid August through December with the goal of competing in a Regional competition in early December. Depending on a team's success, teams could compete at Super Regionals in early January and possibly Georgia State Championships in late January.

There is a $250 fee to be on the Robotics team. The fee will appear on your FACTS bill. If finances are an issue, please contact Chip Barber.

Starting this year, there will be two practices a week.  One practice is mandatory and the other is strongly recommended. Due to all the requirements and deliverables required by FIRST, practicing twice a week will allow our teams to qualify for Regional attendance and remain competitive in our respective regions.

Both BotForce and STEM GEMS will have practices on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Practice times are from 3:30 - 5:00 PM. All practices will take place in the MB Robotics & eSports Lab (F-005) and the Innovation Lab (F-002) in the basement of DeVore Hall on the Main Campus.

FLL Robotics is a competition team – not an occasional, after-school club. Students are required to attend at least one practice weekly (preferably both practices).  There will be two all-day Saturday competitions, usually the second week of December and the second week of January. Student participation follows the policies outlined in the MBCA Student Handbook in section "Grade and Discipline Requirements for Extracurricular Activities." In addition, students are required to follow the rules & etiquette outlined by the FIRST organization.  Failure to comply with these rules could result in removal from the club with the understanding any fees will be forfeited.
